Couponing for a Cause Part 2: Supporting Local Schools

With all the issues I'm having with the last post, I have a plan B for couponing for a cause.  (Of course, if free paper is useful to you, you can always keep if for yourself.)

Paper/copy costs are always a major part of a school budget, one way you can help out your local school is with a donation of paper.

  • First, go here and print off the coupon for FREE after easy rebate with coupon. Hammermill® Copy Plus® 8.5" x 11" copy paper, ream.
  • Go to Staples and pick up one ream of Hammermill Copy Plus 8.5 x 11 paper and give the above coupon to the cashier.
  • Pay $4.00 + tax at the register after coupon.
  • Go online to Staples Easy Rebates (www.stapleseasyrebates.com) and file for a $4.00 rebate, which should arrive in 4 to 6 weeks. (If you include the rebate, you'll basically only pay for the tax.)
  • Donate the ream of paper to a local school.
  • This is an easy (and cheap) way to help with the school's budget, now there is only one coupon per transaction, you can file for the rebate this four separate times.  So either go multiple days or walk out, drop off your first ream of paper in the car, walk back in and lather, rinse, repeat.

If you see any Freebies or Moneymakers or Great Deals I missed, let me know.
