Going to Extremes at Target

I'm not usually one for "extreme" couponing.  I squeeze the most out of my transactions, but I try to keep things simple.  I've found the more complex a transaction, the more things tend to go wrong somehow.

Giving you the best deals at Target!

But I found a deal today that just struck my fancy as one to do over and over.  Plus while I was there, Mom of the Deal and I picked up a couple ibotta rebates on things we will use to push towards those monthly bonuses.  So we had two moneymakers and a couple regular shopping items.

Here are the deals we were going for:

This one I mentioned a couple weeks ago.  The Cartwheel is still attached to my account, but I can't find the link for it anymore.  I unfortunately only had one coupon left for this, which is why you'll only see it in one transaction.

Smucker’s Fruit-Fulls Pouches, 4 pk on sale for $2.99

Use $1.50/1 - Smucker’s Fruit-Fulls 4pk or larger coupon (RP 8/24, Expires 10/1/14)
Use 40% off - Smucker’s Fruit-Fulls Target Cartwheel (No Longer Available)
Use $1.00/1 - Smucker’s Fruit-Fulls ibotta Rebate

Pay $0.29, get $1.00 in rebates

Net Price: $0.71 Moneymaker

This is the one that struck my fancy this morning and I decided to do over and over.

People Magazine sells for $4.99
Fruitwater 16.9 oz sells for $1.02
Buy People Magazine and a 16.9 oz Fruitwater, get a $5.00 Target Gift Card

Use $1.00/1 - People Magazine Target store printable coupon
And use $1.00/1 - People, All You, Real Simple and more printable coupon
And use 10% off all books and magazines cartwheel offer (Expires today.)

Pay $3.61, get a $5.00 gift card.

Net Price: $1.39 Moneymaker

So, when I get to Target, I discover that at our location People magazine is $5.99 instead of $4.99.  I run the numbers, see that it is still a profit and figure I'm there anyway, so why not.  I have access to 5 computers at home so I had enough coupons for 10 transactions and rolled with it.  (I dropped off stuff after each transaction and got more, trying to be considerate to other shoppers.

(Note, there is a limit of 6 Cartwheel transactions in a day.  Mom of the Deal was with me and after her one transaction, let me borrow her Cartwheel for 3 of the transactions.)
