Surprise Change on Kmart Super Doubles Policy 9/28 - 10/4

We have been reporting for weeks now that Kmart's Super Doubles would have no purchase requirement.  This appears to have changed.

Giving you the best deals from Kmart.

If you have been helped by what I'm posting, click through here and make me your "personal shopper." It's more like "personal deal finder" as I don't actually shop for you. But it will help support some of the things I'm trying to do with the blog.

As early as 7/30/14, a Sears Holding Corp employee had been stating publicly there would be no minimum purchase requirement for the next Doubles Event occurring on 9/28/14 to 10/4/14.

Imagine everyone's surprise when next week's ad preview came out with this in it:

The ad above came out on 9/20 for the week of 9/28 to 10/4.  As of yesterday, the employee was still stating:

As far as we know, no changes have been made in regards to the no purchase requirement/threshold requirement.

An update will be provided once we receive verification.

I am unsure what to expect at this point.  After almost two months of being told one thing, the preview of the ad states something different.  I will let you know when I know more.  That said, minimum purchase or not, I will try and have the first round of Super Doubles deals up tonight.

Update 9/22/14 Noon per the same Sears Holding Corp employee:

Hey All!

We all want to apologize on our end-there was a miscommunication that led us to believe there was not spend minimum, but you are all correct. According to the rules, there is a $25 in-store Grocery, Household or Drugstore minimum threshold spend that must be met in order to double any coupons. We are so sorry for any confusion!

Thanks for your patience and understanding!
